Operations

Operations refer to the set of actions that a group or individual must consistently and systematically perform on an ongoing basis to achieve objectives, maintain functionality, and ensure long-term success. In this context, each of these actions can be referred to as “an operation.”

Description: An operation is an action that an actor does on a repeating basis.

Examples (Individuals): Brush teeth. Wash dishes. Mow the lawn. Gas up the car. Exercise. Pay the bills. Prepare meals. Change car oil.

Examples (Fast Food Business): Order food from wholesalers. Take orders. Cook food. Clean the restaurant. Pay bills. Hire employees. Train new employees. Great customers. Do the books.

Examples (University): Teach a given class. Post grades. Give tours to prospective students. Hold graduation. Revise curriculums. Hold meetings.
